Our CEO Andrea Rodriguez was born and raised into the legacy of the tax office. Her accountant father put her to work filing and stuffing envelopes in his Los Angeles-based office as soon as she learned the alphabet. Andrea excelled at both analytical tasks and sports, eventually becoming the captain of her high school varsity tennis team. She played tennis throughout college at Rio Hondo College in Whittier prior to returning to work in accounting. Andrea has since relocated to Santa Monica, where she worked closely with the late Maurice Joffe for four years. She is now focused on enhancing the customer service experience. She takes pride and ownership in her client relationships, and focuses on educating her clients. While some tax preparers just tell their clients how much they owe, Andrea offers advice on how to change habits to positively influence tax outcomes for the long-term. She is disciplined about pursuing ongoing education to further her career as an accountant, and passionate about building the Maurice Joffe business. Andrea balances her many hours of work at the office with a healthy love of sports and outdoor adventures. She often plays tennis with friends and rides her SeaDoo and ATV with her family.
